Maverik Racers make it count

As the monsoons of the British summer fade into a distant memory, and yet more rain approaches with the good old fashioned winter, the Maverik team are looking forward to a well earned break before preparation starts for next season.

Ryan and Jamie both rode in the last round of the Elite Cup at Culham last weekend. They both had a great weekends’ racing and Ryan finished 12th overall in the small wheel 85 group having ridden the whole series. Jamie only rode in 2 rounds of the championship and had some great results - a fantastic achievement as he is the youngest rider in the whole series.

Ryan will now concentrate with supercross training in preparation for the Futurewest series. Jamie will also be riding in the Futurewest and will decide in the next few weeks whether to revert back to his MAVERIK KTM50cc or to ride his MAVERIK 65cc.

Jake unfortunately broke his arm at Donnington on the Monday after the GP and is out for at least 8 weeks — such a shame as he was riding the best he’s ever ridden that day, qualifying 3rd fastest. He is now looking forward to getting his new bikes and getting prepared for next season with his move onto a 125cc.

Both Lewis and Josh Brine have had successful B.S.M.A. and B.Y.M.X. series. In the B.S.M.A. Josh is currently lying 2nd in the Small Wheel 85s and Lewis has led the senior group since the first round. The final round is next weekend at Little Silver and the whole team will be there to cheer the boys on.

In the B.Y.M.X. Josh is currently 9th and Lewis is in 6th position. The final round of this is on the 6th/7th October.

Josh Bunter is still battling away in both the Cambridge and Portsmouth championships and has had a great experience this year riding in France. He is excited to be moving onto a 65cc next year.
