Storming through the card unbeaten in two recent Portsmouth Club events Honda mounted Jake Shipton has been enjoying the sight of the chequered flag on a rather more regular basis.

Plying his trade in a very professional manor for someone of his years the likeable racer has put himself straight into the B.S.M.A. Best of British Finals on the 11th and 12th of August.

No stranger to a few trophies, the 14 year old was a member of the winning team in the B.Y.M.X. team events in 2004 and 2006 and is keen to add another piece of B.Y.M.X. silverware to his cabinet after clinching his best national result so far finishing 7th overall at Pontrilas, which leaves him currently ninth in the series.

Since joining Team Maverik Racing at the beginning of the year, Jake has been using Maxima Oils in his Honda CRF 150 and has noticed a clear difference in the way the engine performs.
