Maverik Approach to MX

Set-up in 2006 as the brainchild of Dorset based couple Nicki and Jason Carpenter Maverik Racing is proving extremely effective in supporting their youth riders, who are competing in various UK and international events throughout the year.

With so many motocross youth teams around the pits, Maverik racing was constructed around the concept of supporting several youngsters, in terms of finance as well as products, embraced in a happy team atmosphere, without the high octane pressure and expectations found within some other team environments.

Instilling a sense of dignity and respect into their young team the Carpenters believe that their rider’s courteous behaviour in the pits is equally important to their results on the circuit, and the trackside tantrums so regularly associated with schoolboy motocross are clearly a thing of the past in the Maverik Team. Inevitably this approach to youth Motocross has already attracted, several sponsors including Fro, and Maxima oils and Halfords who are helping the Maverik Team compete in events around the UK and Europe this year and the Carpenters are confident this rather fresh, honest approach to a motocross team will pay dividends in the long term.
